It's my birthday today. Yes, I was born on 11.11.1986 smile. And to enjoy it a bit more, I am rereading the wonderful review I got from Rainbow Reviews. Check it out.

Here is what Lydia of Rainbow Reviews says:

Do not start this book before you go to bed! I learned this the hard way as I was constantly saying one more page, just after this chapter, until I had to force myself to put it down. Needless to say I ended up with very little sleep. I have never read anything by this author, but if this is anything like her other stories I can't wait to read more.

New free read

Since it was pointless of keeping the first chapter of BL up on the site when I had it both on FP and on AFF, I uploaded a new free read - my werewolf story, Moon's Sweet Poison. It will undergo massive editing in the future, when I find the time and energy for it.

Also note, I will be updating BL tonight (in a few hours), so do check out that as well.

Any comment on either of them is very much appreciated. Enjoy!

Hugs,

Scarlet

Subs and writing update

Scarlet Hyacinth Posted by Scarlet Hyacinth at 04:15 AM on July 27, 2009 Comments comments (0)

Hello, friends. I am taking a break (again) from writing to note that I submitted Truth and Deception to Samhain yesterday. It's my sci fi story - one of the stories I didn't post on FP. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I also have a submission to Ravenous Romance - EM Lynley's anthology of fairytales and waiting for a reply on that one as well.

Don't forget to think up names for M&MV and BL. Blind Love will probably be the next one on the submission list. Writing is going quite well and I'm hoping to finish it in two to three weeks. With the edit, that makes a month, so by the end of August, if all goes well, I could have it ready. Of course, if the line edit for COA doesn't arrive, in which case I will have to abandon everything and deal with that first.

Anywho, gonna go write a timeline for this thing. I'm confusing myself, which is not good when you're writing a story.

Story updates

Today, the third chapter of Blind Love was uploaded both on FP and on AFF. Here's hoping you, my dear readers, enjoy it. I am a bit busy and down with a cold (yes, a cold in summer, bleah!), but I am doing my best to keep writing.

As a matter of fact, I started co-authoring a story with Kyo. It's going quite well, actually, we're not only having fun, but also making progress. I am now writing a inferiority complex-plagued kelpie seme, who finds his mate in a magically-challenged dragon half-breed uke. LMAO!!! Sounds complicated, ne? But it's really quite fun... We still have a lot of work to do, but I'm feeling optimistic! Wish us luck!

Congrats, Kyo!

Woo hoo! My dear friend Kyo Arashi has yesterday received her first TWO contracts. I'm very excited for her, she deserves it, since she's not only such a great friend, but also a great author. So, I'm very happy, even if the same PH that accepted her rejected me. It's ok... I agree with them that T&D needs some work so I don't really mind.
Anyway, the excitement seems to have stimulated my plot bunny a bit - or maybe he's just mad as usual, because I started YET another story yesterday. I know, I know, I have to stick to one story to finish it. But sometimes you just have to go with the muses. The new story is called For a Gryphon's heart (yes! incredibly I have a name for it), and it's about a young mage named Ren (hehehe... I love The Pirates of the Dark Water) who discovers that in order to defeat the dark wizard who'd killed his  father, he needs a gryphon's heart. He therefore goes hunting for demons and ends up falling in love with one.
I am really enjoying writing this one. Let's see how my inspirati
on holds.
